It has been a day. Well, the day started off by me and Syahmee taking bus no. 105 to Far East Plaze. The plan of the day was to get myself a pair of new boots at Timberland. I could’ve gotten em at IMM but I wanted to explore the ones in the heartlands to see if there are different models. So, before me and Syahmee went to find Timberland, we decided to go to to the HMV Orchard to look at the many varieties of singles and albums there. So we then found out that we didn’t know where the Timberland outlet in Orchard was thus we made our way down to Dhoby Ghaut and went to Singapore’s “Mini Akihabara”. Went there to look at some manga. Seems that ‘Short Sunzen’ is not out and ‘Love Attack’ vol 6 is out of stock T_T.
We then went to Raffles City shopping mall to take a look at the Timberland outlet there. It was kinda dissapointing though. Thus we walked to Davis guitar at Peninsula plaza. As usuall, the place was just as crowded as ever. Syahmee asked if he could cancel his order for the ESP Eclipse but they said he needed the reciept, thus he cursed. I grabbed the 2009 catalogue for ESP Guitars and a box of new strings. Hungry, we made a U-turn to Suntec City just to eat at pastamania since we missed the taste of strawberry Italian Soda xD
After that, we took the train and dropped at Buona Vista to go to Holland Village. Home to the new Academy of Rock center. From the myspace pictures, I thought the surroundings was like “budget” but trust me, after setting foot into Holland V, we were both transported to a new world. The roads were narrow, there was a windmill on one of the shophouse roofs and of course the Academy of Rock. It was located above this icecream stall. The best thing is, there was a hell load of good stuff. Subway, 7-Eleven and many more. It reminds me of how Harry Potter first stepped into Diagon Alley. Pity I couldn’t take pictures of the place.
We ended the journey by going back to IMM to get my new boots. After a long day of walking, my legs feel as if there was steam coming out of it like an overheating engine. Other than that, I can’t wait for July 1st. Seriously, I think my days going to the Academy is going to be really interesting.
And so, I end this post with 2 new guitar covers, ‘Endless Rain’ and ‘Forever Love’ by the godfathers of Visual Kei themselves, X-Japan! Note, for ‘Endless Rain’, I only covered the guitar solo but for ‘Forever Love’, I played both guitar parts and solo as well. With that cheers and enjoy ^^
